I nearly forgot this this weekend!

As always, please let me know of anyone I need to add or delete. I admit to scanning and filtering my flist because it's so large, so please help me out if I missed anyone.



Into your hands, O Lord, we humbly entrust our friends.

We pray for the people of Boston, and all who are victims of bombings around the world, and for the people of Waco, Texas.

We pray that all students, teachers and all who work at schools everywhere will be kept safe.

For the thousands of people around the world affected by hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes and fires.

For everyone grieving the loss of a partner, friend, or pet. May they be comforted.


jaiden_s's friend, T, made a stupid decision on 6 April and was arrested for public intoxication and possession. Prayers for his wife and prayers that things won't be as bad as they are looking like they could be.


larienelengasse's best friend Lauriel is battling brain cancer.

__wilderness__'s SO, A, has a slow growing brain tumor in his left frontal lobe. It will be fatal but the life expectancy ranges between worst case 12 months or best case 40 years.

alexcat's friend Jim's wife, Sandra just finished chemo for breast cancer and is going to be doing radiation soon. Her prognosis so far is good.

catwench's FIL, Arch, is caring for his wife, Momele, who has rapidly advancing Alzheimer's. It's a very difficult thing to do, so please keep him in your prayers. On 21 February, Momele fell and broke her left hip. She had surgery on 22 February. She will be going to an in-patient rehab and will probably have to walk with a cane or walker. She has a form of Dementia so it's going to be very difficult.

chaotic_binky's father is in hospital again - he went blind in one eye and 24 hours later his sight was back to normal. He is to have an MRI because the CT scan showed something in back of his head. His leg is doing well though.

chaotic_binky's cousin's wife has newly diagnosed breast cancer and another tumour has been found in her lower abdomen.

charliecochrane would like to say thank you for prayers leading to successful outcomes. They recruited at one school and have a creative plan in place at the other one, but can still use a bit more prayer.

deathangelgw's dearest friend, Jess, is getting sicker. Her kidneys are failing and they are not sure why.

deathangelgw's family is dealing with some shattering events. Please keep them in your prayers.

erviniae's mother is having issues with Myasthenia Gravis. They can't find the right combo of medicine and her eyes are still horribly droopy and affecting her vision.

erviniae's friend Kim's pregnancy was ectopic, and has to be terminated. Please keep her in your prayers.

minuial_nuwing's mother-in-law is not doing well. Prayer is appreciated. On the good new side, minuial_nuwing's sister-in-law is doing very well and is on a long term chemo agent.

mistressminx_13 is still having a horrible time with her shoulder and has been in a lot of pain.

mylodon's friend Edith is in need of prayer.

perkyandproud's friend Damietta (LadyD) is now in a Rehab clinic as her blood pressure is still not staying where it should. Hopefully they will be able to get it up enough that she can go home again.

perkyandproud needs to see a kidney specialist to check out why her blood tests show a decrease in function. Please keep her in your prayers.

pfodge's mother Yvonne, has been diagnosed with breast cancer for the 3rd time. This time it has spread throughout her body and into the bones. She is 76 years old and can not undergo traditional chemo therapy. She will be taking a chemo type pill, which will hopefully slow down the spread but will not kill the cancer.

skonichek is dealing with horrible headaches and can use prayer.

Mary Ann, who has ovarian cancer, is doing radiation now. She is taking it one week at a time.

Nancie's cancer has returned. She is back to chemo and radiation the week of May 6.

Lucy, age 3, diagnosed with Leukemia June 22, 2012. Her hair is growing back. She looks well - and Nienna believes her chemo is done. Please continue to pray for her.

phyncke's List:

CS, Phyncke's good friend and colleague passed away October 18, losing her struggle with breast cancer.

Phyncke's friend D's mom is in the hospital with complications from kidney disease and diabetes.

D*** has Parkinson's Disease. He's had to retire and can use prayer.

Phyncke's friend Debbie needs prayer. She is caring for her mother who has Alzheimer's and an ill brother, all the while working and trying to keep up the house.


Countries



Venezuela - media suppression and repression of freedoms.

Pakistan, where political violence and suicide attacks are creating high death tolls.

Guinea: Terrible demonstrations resulting in a hundred odd deaths; the military-government basically opened fire at the protesters two weeks ago (Sept end). Many people are just cowering at home now. The government is expected to take drastic measures against the political opposition, especially now that the unions have announced a "break to mourn the dead".

Somaliland (not to be confused with Somalia): political violence threatens after national elections were delayed. Actually political violence threatens in so many parts of Africa...

Kimberly, a 26 year old captain in the Air Force and without any family to give her comfort. She is suffering from aplastic anemia from being exposed to a chemical.

mistressminx_13's friend Sonia. She has rheumatoid arthritis, but most importantly, her home life is pretty much a living hell with an abusive husband.
mistressminx_13's grandmother
mistressminx_13's co-worker's wife's cancer is back (she is a breast cancer survivor), but unfortunately it is being very aggressive and they don't give her much time. They have 2 little ones - ages 3 and 1.
Another co-worker of mistressminx_13's, Sue's husband - has restrictive lung disease and nodules on his lungs. There isn't any cure, but he is on breathing treatments to slow things as much as possible.

nuinzilien's grandmother was diagnosed with colon cancer, has had surgery, and begins chemo soon.
numenora and her family; especially her sister.
perkyandproud's grandmother is 96 and had a heart attack a couple of months ago. She is home and doing much better. Continuing prayer is appreciated.
rolypoly_laurie's degenerative disks in her neck are causing her extreme pain.

sardistri's great-aunt Daisy. She's home and doing better, but we'll keep her on the list.
A 23 year old relative of sbyte was very brutally attacked. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.

semyaza's cousin Vera (who's also her mother's adopted sister), has COPD and unoperable kidney stones but is continuing to soldier on.
sigsauer40's mother. Her health is poor and she is in a lot of pain.

From skonichek: Little baby Kenny was born with cataracts over both eyes, and has glaucoma which has damaged his vision. His parents also need a lot of prayer.
spunk's grandfather (who is 90) is struggling with a form of dementia and in a nursing home.
spunk's mother is dealing with consistent health issues: fibromyalgia and another disease that is currently in remission, and mental health issues.
spunk is dealing with GI issues and going through testing. She also needs prayer for other disorders.
thewenchywiccan's step-father, Bill has serious heart issues. Her overly stressed mother can use prayer as well.
weepingnaiad's Mom is off of oxygen during the day, so she's improved a lot.

zhie's friend Jacque, and her sons, Jack and Steven.

Mary Ann doing radiation now. She did teach this week but is taking it one week at a time.

Lucy's hair is growing back! She looks well - I believe her chemo is done. A few more prayers for continuing improvement couldn't hurt. :)

No idea more than that. Mother isn't much help when relaying information - she gets it wrong a lot of the time. His leg is doing well though. My sister and I wonder if he is on the way out.
