This is amazing, and something I never saw before. The 9/11 boatlift of nearly 500,000 people in 9 hours off of Manhattan was greater than Dunkirk. It was the largest sea evacuation in history, and we never even heard about it. Commemorate the day and watch this.

I can understand how this event was buried under the incredible devastation and loss, but you'd think the media would have picked it up before now. Whoever is responsible for this video, I'm grateful it was made so we could learn the story.
