My poor shamrock are so confused.

It's been 70 to 80 degrees during the day and 40 to 50 at night. Poor plants don't know what's up. It also makes it very difficult for me to want to use a winter icon or anything.

Grass is green and lush, and we have dandelions instead of snow. Weatherforecast promised winter this weekend! Well, maybe next year...

Feels a little strange to have 30 - 40 degree differences between day and night here.

It has been rather unseasonably warm this year!

I can't really complain though...I'm not looking forward to trying to ride my scooter on ice or in snow... >.>

*hugs you*

And honestly, I'm not complaining either. We had a few days of really cold, but all in all, it's been much warmer than usual. Since my hot flashes have died down again (knock on wood, turn around 3 times, throw salt over my shoulder and pet a black cat), I'm much happier with it a tad warmer. It's still cool enough that I've hardly used my A/C at all for a couple months.

*hugs*

I'd love to be anywhere close to 70. :) I believe I finally killed my shamrock (I forgot to water it once too often). I'm not really very good with plants, but I do have 3 (2 now, if I've really killed the shamrock) that I keep inside.

I'm hoping I'll be able to build my raised beds this year and plant some flowers and veggies. I thought I would be able to last year, but the surgery took longer to heal than I'd anticipated.

*hugs*

That shamrock dies back every year and comes back up like clockwork in Spring. Amazes me that it keeps going.

It is still so foreign to me to have such a warm winter! I am in a t-shirt right now! But I like the chilly mornings, even though it's strange to walk the dog in my winter coat, but strip down to short sleeves by the time I leave work. I think I'll have to go back east for a week or so next winter to remind myself that cold and snow is only fun for the first 24 hours, and then it's just dull, messy, ugly, cold, and damp. :)

As much as I can bitch about our weather, I know how fortunate we are. I couldn't imagine living in sleet and snow. I haven't worn a real coat here in several years now. Just sweaters and shawls.

It's been weird up here too - Cold one sec, warm the next (well, in the 50's, which is warm for winter.)

Still, those shamrocks look pretty! ♥

They do, don't they? Hopefully they'll still be looking good on St. Pat's Day and I can take come into work.
